MPIRG (Minnesota Public Interest Research Group)-Duluth

The Minnesota Public Interest Research Group (MPIRG) is a grassroots, non-partisan, nonprofit, student-directed organization that empowers and trains students and engages the community to take collective action in the public interest throughout the state of Minnesota.

MPIRG at the University of Minnesota, Duluth works to engage students not only on campus, but in the community of Duluth and the State of Minnesota as a whole. Actions and Projects are determined as a collective as well as on an individual level.

MPIRG is broken down into three fluid task forces. There Economic & Democracy, Environmental, and Social Justice Task Force leaders. All Task Force Leaders are chosen by the students through an election at the end of each term. The Taskforce leaders are always changing.

If you are attempting to get hold of us on behalf of an issue, campaign, or organization, please contact the Directing Organizer or Task Force Leader of the specific issue.
